The top AVN Star talks about how she
engages fans on the new plat form
This spring, AVN Media Network launched a new platform,
AVN Stars (Stars.AVN.com), where the adult community can
share content without fear of shadow banning or losing their
accounts. Out of the gate, the top model on the platform was
Violet Doll, who brings years of experience to AVN Stars.
What did she do before making her own content? “I started
in a strip club when I was 18,” she explains, “but my first online
sex work job was camming back in the early 2000s. I was a
cam girl before much of the world knew it was a thing.”
Her first content involved non-nude teases, followed by
nudity and solo masturbation—but she quickly grew bored. “I
need an element of kink or BDSM to keep me aroused.”
Doll was immediately interested in AVN Stars, because of the
stability of the AVN brand: “I’ve watched many adult content
platforms come and go in my years online. That can leave a
lot of people burned, so you learn to be cautious and critical
of where you invest your brand.”
She adds, “The timing was perfect, as I was ready for a new
project. I’m a bit bored with clips. I did my thing and made my
mark in that scene. Now I feel it’s time to move on.”
Talking about her success on AVN Stars, she says, “Your
fans want to see your personality, a peek into your life. Keep it
sexy and entertaining, but make it about you as a person and
your brand, not just adult content. ... Upload multiple times
