“I used to be really upset when
I didn’t shoot,” says AVN Best
New Starlet nominee Tana Lea.
But that was before she started
focusing on “my own stuff, my own
branding.” She got started with
“Kidnap Me,” a video she posted
to her Pornhub page. “I’m in the
model program, so I get paid per
view,” she explains.
“I thought, why am I not using
Pornhub to my advantage? That’s
free advertisement. Millions of
people go to that website. If I end
up getting on the front page, I’m
getting followers and traffic,” she
said. “Where I’m making all my
money now is from Snapchatting
my life. Doing things that I want to
do and getting paid to do it.”
This busty, tattoed and magenta-
haired beauty also enjoys shooting
with other directors. James Deen
is “really helpful”, Ivan is “loyal, a
good person to be around” and B.
Skow “takes really pretty pictures
of me.” And she’s gotten lots of
good work from Girlfriends Films.
Busty and over 25, Lea says she
doesn’t always fit the mold in more
programmatic porn. “I remember
one week I was Ricky Johnson’s
stepmom and the next week I was
his stepsister,” she says wryly. “I
just like being cast as me.”
