NOTE
This month’s AVN star can speak about the adult industry from a
unique vantage point. Tori Black entered the business in 2007 and
then left for seven years, so she has perspective on how things have
changed—for the better. “The power is being put in the hands of the
talent,” she says. Performers no longer have work for companies
that control their images. Instead, it’s more important to listen to
the fans—and keep it real. “You find that people love every stage,”
Black says. “You could be in this phase for this part of your life, or that
phase for another part of your life. And people will follow and enjoy
