In mainstream, bankable stars are a capitalist commodity: actors
whose celebrity or charm can ensure box-office success whenever
they’re cast in a movie. In porn, that definition works too—but
for the top-tier performer, bankability means a lot more when it
comes to their own brand. And few performers in porn are more
bankable than Riley Reid, this month’s AVN star. By any metric,
she’s reached the pinnacle of adult stardom, with 840 million video
views on Pornhub and a million followers on Twitter. Not only that,
she’s got the face that launched a thousand memes (just google
“put it back in”). So, yes, this fame ensures better sales for the
scenes and movies in which Reid is cast, but it also enhances her
own bankability via her premium Snapchat account and her own
