One treat for the GFY set: CrakRevenue founder
Nick Chrétien was in attendance—the first time he
had been present to accept a trophy for his company,
a frequent GFY Award winner. “Nick’s here—oh
shit!” Matis crowed, reminding the assembly that the
French Canadian had just given the keynote speech
for Internext 2018 earlier that day. Chrétien was
joined on stage by Axel Vezina, the man who usually
accepts GFY honors for CrakRevenue. “Behind every
CEO is Axel,” Chrétien told the crowd.
Matis also revealed which GFY member had been
voted as the newest member of the Hall of Fame, and
it turned out that the voting had been a tie. “The first
one is a pioneer. None if this exists without him,”
Matis said, explaining that Lensman had been a key
resource back in the early days of GFY. Lensman was
not present to accept (“He’s been retired for years,”
Matis explained), but there was someone to accept
the honors for the second inductee: Hone Lynn.
FUBARWebmasters.com founder JFK came up to
accept on her behalf, saying that Lynn was too sick
to travel. “She was one of the first cam girls in this
business,” he said, “with over 6,000 posts. On behalf
of her, I accept this award.”
