WHO’S WHO
Alison Boden
Tech VP tapped as CEO of Kink,
Cybernet Entertainment
Cybernet Entertainment, parent
company of fetish and BDSM
distributor Kink.com, has a new
chief executive officer: Alison Boden,
formerly Kink.com’s vice president of
technology.
Founder and owner Peter Acworth
is moving away from day-to-day
operations of the company to focus
on real estate development and
management.
Boden has worked in the adult
industry since 2003, when she started
a sex toy home party business. During
her fifteen-year career, Boden has
operated in a wide variety of roles, from
project manager and marketing director
to software engineer and technology
executive.
“Alison was instrumental in the
development of our new content
platform,” says Acworth. “If there is
anyone who can reinvent Kink.com
for the new internet, which is awash
with free content, it is her. She’s smart,
driven and has depth of experience
that’s hard to match in the industry.”
As CEO, Boden will focus on further
broadening the platform, to bring in
a wider variety of voices, products
and content. Other early initiatives
include using Kink.com’s extensive
performer and producer network to
help better enforce best practices and
ethical production on adult sets, as well
as working to defend sexual speech
in the face of increasing government
censorship.
Matthew Matsudaira
New CEO installed at
Pipedream Products
Pipedream Products has named
Matthew Matsudaira its new CEO,
following the retirement of CEO and
founder Nick Orlandino.
“I’m looking forward to
strengthening Pipedream’s
relationships with our distributor and
retailer partners,” Matsudaira said.
“The entire team is ready for new
leadership and I’m confident the next
era will be better than ever.”
Matsudaira comes to the industry
after successful leadership roles at
Nordstrom and Amazon, as well as
Chewy.com, where he spearheaded one
of the largest acquisition deals ever.
The international mega-manufacturer
has a strategy in place to keep
Pipedream on its continued path to
success and is always looking for ways
to improve the company, processes,
relationships and the customer
experience.
Matsudaira is taking over for
Orlandino, who had been with
Pipedream since 1992. “I started in
this industry when I was 15 years old,”
Orlandino told AVN. “I worked my
ass off for 35 years, and I have worked
every side of the business. The business
has changed and, well, you know,
I’m a little tired.” While Orlandino is
no longer involved in the day-to-day
operations, he will maintain shares in
Diamond Products, the former CEO
said.
Lavi Yedid
NS Novelties promotes industry
veteran to company president
Taylor Made Enterprises, the parent
company of NS Novelties, announced
Lavi Yedid has been named president of
the novelty manufacturer.
“Lavi’s experience, vision and
hard work are largely responsible for
why NS Novelties is where it is today,”
said Scott Taylor, CEO of the Taylor
Made Enterprises group of companies.
Yedid’s experience and vision
stems from more than 30 years in the
adult industry. With a background
rooted in design and an extensive
knowledge of industry trends, Yedid has
carved a place for NS Novelties in an
oversaturated field.
“I’m greatly appreciative to Scott
[Taylor] for believing in me and
allowing me the tools necessary to build
this amazing brand,” Yedid said.
The company, named Best Pleasure
Manufacturer at the 2017 AVN Awards,
was most recently hailed for its game-
changing Shi/Shi Union massager for
lesbian and bi women.
“It’s amazing to think that in seven
short years we were able to accomplish
all this,” Yedid said. “We have an
amazing team that deserves all the
credit for growing and caring for our
customer base and helping spread the
word about our fabulous products.”
