Nadia North calls to mind Melanie Griffiths’ self-
and a bod for sin. The leggy, curvaceous real estate
agent turned porn star came by the AVN office to
talk about her latest projects, and it’s clear that she is every bit
as serious about making adult movies as she is about putting
together a big-ticket commercial property deal.
Nadia fell into her new career when she married adult
performer-director Peter North. An adult A-lister since the
1980s, Peter was no longer working in front of the camera.
“He made a name for himself. He didn’t need to do it
anymore,” Nadia explained. “But then I come along and say,
‘You know what? This is going to be super fun. We own a porn
company! I have all these naughty thoughts. I get to see them
acted out. I want to do this!”
In 2018, Nadia is looking to step things up at North Pole
Productions. “I’m really looking to do a lot this year. I’m on
a mission. I like to do things and go straight to the top and
really put myself into it,” she said.
As part of her push for higher quality, Nadia notes, she

hired a new artist to produce box covers for North Pole releases, and she brought on award-winning
lensman Chris Streams as director of photography for the most recent movie, Mrs. Peter North: Black and
Anal Edition. “I think he’s the best, so I hired him,” Nadia says.
“I’m trying to revamp our company,” she says. As part of that effort, she’s looking to step up the
release schedule to two movies a month. One series will incorporate the Mrs. Peter North name. “This
one is the Black and Anal Edition. The next one will be a different edition, maybe all girl/girl. That gives
me options. That is exactly why I love it. What do I want to do today?”
Peter has been content to stand by while Nadia explores what for her is a brand-new challenge. And
she’s happily taken over. “I’m the one who wrote the Faithfully Unfaithful series and then came up with
the titles and everything, so I’ve been pretty much booking all the talent and doing titles and pulling
box covers, stills and images for the last year. I’m doing all the directing and I’m making it more
elaborate. I’m writing scripts, and my intros are going to be way more elaborate.”
She adds, “I have this little black book I take everywhere with me. It’s has scripts and ideas and
titles. I just pull from those. I’m always changing things around.”
As the name suggests, the Faithfully Unfaithful series celebrates the swinger lifestyle, as do the Mrs.
Peter North titles. But Nadia does most of the swinging in these movies—which she says is just fine
with both her and Peter. Speaking about the Black and Anal Edition, she says, “It’s all anal, because
that’s my favorite. … I actually prefer to work with more than one guy. Peter thinks it’s great. And he’s
almost always there if I’m shooting.”

Her costars in the movie include Prince Yahshua—“I’ve with him before, but we get to do a one-on-
one this time, so that was nice”—as well as some newer performers. One standout for Nadia was Isiah
Maxwell. “He is so much fun. I told him, ‘You are going to go so far in this industry because you’re just
right on point.’ He’s so nice and so polite. He’s not on his phone the whole time. He’s really into the
passion.”
In addition to performing, Nadia also wants to put more emphasis on directing other performers. “I
didn’t get to work with too many girls and that was unfortunate, so this year I’ve got some girls that
I’m keeping my eye on. … I want a girl who’s truly bi; I want a girl who’s really into it.”
When Nadia spoke with AVN, she had just been shooting her next movie, Tight Teen Brats; the cast
includes Kimber Woods, Carmen Caliente, Carolina Sweets, Norah Nova, Sadie Blake, Ramon Nomar
and Mr. Pete. “I got the talent I wanted,” she said, adding that it involves “naughty teens who are
blackmailing people. … I don’t want to do that whole step scenario. I don’t want to think that someone
is hurting someone.”
But she’s flexible on set, noting, “I actually have changed scripts after meeting the talent. I see their
personality and ... ‘Hold on one second,’ I’ll go back to my laptop and just change it. … I’ll rewrite the
whole thing because I want to see them shine, I want to see them get into it. I love it when there’s
energy and it’s just fun to me. I try to perk everyone up if I see the energy go down.”
Her enthusiasm for adult entertainment came about more through her own sexual appetites than
from a desire to emulate other content producers. She didn’t watch porn at all, but she says she’s
“a complete little nympho” and the scenarios she shoots come from her own mind. “It’s not from
watching other people’s stuff. Just kind of like, you know, ‘I would like to see this.’ … It’s natural for
me to envision things and fantasize. Obviously, there are certain things our fans want to see, that we
get requests for, so I really pay attention to those, too. I do watch what titles are selling the most.”
But it’s more than just business. “I love what I do. I love directing, I love performing. And I want
it to show to the fans. This is a great job. I’m very fortunate. And I say that all the time. I’m very
fortunate to run a production company and do what I want and be creative,” Nadia said.
Also ahead in the future, Nadia said, is a project that will feature more of both Peter and Nadia.
“We’re going to do another one, actually—me and Peter. But we’re going to do more [footage] of us. So
each scene there will be a lot more of us together. So that will be a lot of fun.”
Describing what this content will be like, Nadia said that fans will “see stuff that we have recorded
on our phones, which is fun, exclusive stuff that will be a bonus on there too. We have some stuff
where we’re in the Ferrari and we pull off the side of the road and I’m in this sexy dress … we’re going
to put that in there too. Why not share that? We’re going to have a lot of fun.”
