Stephanie West: ‘Obsessed With Unicorns’
Blonde, exotic-looking Stephanie West giggles
frequently as she reveals how she left her native
Chicago and made the trek to Los Angeles to join the
porn community.
For several years she worked as a dancer at the Admiral
in Chicago along with her best friend, a girl named Lana
Rhoades. Lana made it to L.A. first and wound up as an AVN
Best New Starlet nominee in 2016. Stephanie almost made
the leap. “I tried to become a porn star when I was 18 but I
chickened out. I went back to Chicago.”
She finally did it in July 2017, signing with LA Direct
Models “They’ve been so good to me,” she said. “I just felt
it was just the right time. I was really excited. It’s really
exciting, I love it. ’Cuz every scene is different, you learn
things, you meet new people.”
Stephanie is 25 years old, 5-foot-5, 110 pounds, with a
38C top. Her eyes are brown and she is tattoo-free. “I’m
Italian and Puerto Rican. Everybody always thinks I look
Asian. I get that so often. Maybe I should just say I’m Asian.”
Her entire family is in Chicago but, she says, “I love
California.” As a dancer, “I tried out a few clubs. I really
want to start feature dancing.”
When not working, she says, “I go to the gym. I like to go
shop for things that are pink. I love pink. My goal is to make
my entire house pink. I always find little things that are like
pink knickknacks. I love to dance. I like to go hiking. Normal
things. I like to go out with friends. And I love to buy
unicorns. I’m obsessed with unicorns. I love unicorns. I’m a
unicorn.” She giggles.
“I’ve been doing a lot of stuff seeing that I just started a
few months ago. I’m really excited. I worked for Naughty
America, Girlfriends Films, Brazzers. I did something for
Cherry Pimps, Lethal Hardcore.”
Her credits include quite a few for Girlfriends. That’s why
it’s not surprising that her ideal scene would be all-girl. “My
dream sex scene would be a group of blondes—I’m obsessed
with blondes—and they’re having a sleepover. And obviously
everything is pink and there’s unicorns. And they’re having
an orgy—it starts with a pillow fight, and we end up having
sex. And it’s just like hot blondes for days.” More giggles.
She says she’d really like to work for high-end producers
like Marc Dorcel and Greg Lansky. “I’d like to work for
anybody that’s really hot.” Another giggle.
As for the adult business, “Everybody’s been super-nice. I
think in the scenes that I have done I’ve learned something
new that I can use in the next shoot.”
That’s a positive attitude for a budding porn star, who
says, “My goal is to be successful in the industry.” No
giggles—she really means it.

Emilia Song: ‘That Itch to Perform’
Emilia Song recently made the leap from
solo camming to performing in video
production: “I started working with a
couple a little less than a year ago. We did cam
shows together, and also recorded some clips. I
come from a theater background, and I realized
how much I missed collaborating with other
people, and that whole production process.”
She has a BFA in theater arts, with an acting
concentration: “I studied acting in high school,
and by the time I got to college I was really
interested in directing for theater. That itch to
perform never really goes away, though. Once I
figured out how to scratch it, I thought, ‘I guess I
have to do this now.’”
Song says she loves how open people are in
video production. “Coming from the cam world,
it can take a lot to tease what people want out of
them. Here, they just tell you.”
She would like to work with Bree Mills: “I
think she and I have a similar directing style, just
based on what she’s written. She sets boundaries
for her actors and just sandboxes them, as
opposed to being specific.”
She also wants to work with Greg Lansky. “I
love his aesthetic. I think it’s cool what he’s been
doing in terms of elevating porn into this very
artistic sort of form.”
She went to the AVN Adult Entertainment
Expo in January, and calls it “one of the smartest
things I ever did in terms of career moves. I was
hanging out at the Chaturbate and MyFreeCams
booths, making connections with other cam
models and doing a few collaborations. I also
met directors and other casting people.”
Song is looking forward to using her acting
skill in features. “I really love doing characters.
I really want to do some parodies. I want to be
a freakin’ superhero. ... That would be badass.
Anything you can really sink your teeth into in
terms of acting abilities.
“I want to see what I can do. How can I
change my approach for whatever company I’m
shooting for. How am I stylizing my interactions.
How I’m reacting to other people in the scene.
That’s what I’m most excited about. Exploring
that. ...
“And making people orgasm. The whole
cumming thing.”
