and my very first scene was a solo.”
Aubrey believes her first hardcore scene was with
Venus Lux, but it was before their first pairing on
DVD in Joey Silvera’s Next She-Male Idol 7 in 2013.
Asked about favorite on-screen partners, Aubrey
mentions Phoenix Marie and Katrina Jade, though
Alexander Gustavo was at the top of her list before
he passed away late last year.
And while we’re eager to see much more from
this blonde beauty, we had to ask if she’d thought
about what she’d like to do after she quits acting.
“I would say I’d like to start producing, have my
own production company, and even maybe also be
an agent and scout girls; open an agency,” Aubrey
speculated. “There really isn’t an agency now that
represents us, so that’s why I would like to do it.
So far, I’ve done everything on my own and never
had a PR person, though I just hired one recently,
which we’ll be announcing soon. I’ve never really
had anyone help me, so after winning everything
at AVN, I think it would be awesome to represent
other girls.”

THIS YEAR’S MODEL
Meet Aubrey Kate, 2017’s top trans performer
IN ANY LIST OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL transgender
performers, Aubrey Kate would be at or very near the
top—and it’s no wonder: The tall, shapely blonde was a
well-respected mainstream model before her transition,
working the runways and fashion magazines for such
internationally known agencies as L.A. Models and
Wilhelmina Models, and that training obviously stuck.

thing as an everyday thing for that, but off-screen, I’m
very personal; I keep that to myself.”

Nonetheless, she did say that she’s originally from
Vegas, in part because after high school, she got a full
scholarship to the University of Nevada Las Vegas to
study hotel management. However, she said, “I ended up
not liking it so after two years I went back and got my
cosmetology license. So now I can do my own makeup
and hair.”
Modeling was her first career after college, but
unfortunately, once she began her path to femininity, the
modeling opportunities mostly dried up.
“After I transitioned, it wasn’t really accepted,” she
said, “so that’s pretty much when I jumped into the
whole filming thing, because no one else would accept
me.

won the AVN Award for Male Performer of the
Year. And he admitted to AVN, a few days after
the win, “When they opened the envelope, I
was like, ‘Shit, what am I going to say now?’
I never plan what to say because I’m a little
bit superstitious, so if it really happens I’m so
happy, whatever comes out of my mouth—I
just let it go. When they said my name, I was
like ‘Wow! Yes! That’s awesome!’ and the
first thing I was able to think of was to thank
my wife, Anikka. I truly believe that with any
kind of business you’re only as good as your
first, biggest supporter and in my case my
first, biggest supporter is Anikka. I have to
honor her for this award, that’s the first thing
that came in my head. Without her support, it
would never have been possible.”
Blue told AVN, “As we got closer to the
Awards I was hoping that maybe I could win it
one more time ... but I was not thinking that
it would happen. Like I said on stage, all the
other guys in the same category are great in his
own way. Anybody can win. You just have to
see what happens on the stage and be happy
for whoever wins. That I was able to make it
again was a huge thing, and unexpected at the
same time, for which I am so grateful.”
Asked his plans for 2017, Blue said, “First,
get over this cold. Then, just do what I love
to do. I’ll be working as much as I did in the
past years. I love all of it, to a certain degree.
If I’m directing for two months, then I need to
do something else I enjoy: Just go on a set and
do a scene here and there. Not have to think
about all the commitments around directing.
At the same time, if I only go on set and do
scenes for too long, I don’t feel completely
challenged and I want to direct and create.
The balance of all things together is the right
mixture.
“My goal is to try and do my best, and I hope
I’m going to be a good competitor for the guys
in 2018.”
