industry for a year and a half before
returning to production in the
United States in February of this year. “I really
want to shoot for the cool companies. I shot in Europe
for Brazzers and Digital Playground. I’d like to shoot for
Naughty America and Amateur Allure. I like Evil Angel’s
stuff, and I would really like to shoot here.”
Nevada was a college student doing translations (she
speaks English, German and Spanish “and a little French. My
family wanted me to learn a lot of languages for my future.
They didn’t know I would end up in porn,” she says with a
laugh) and was brought into the industry by her best friend,
Amarna Miller. “That is one of the main reasons I came to the
States,” she said. “She is here.”
“Porn saved me from doing a boob job,” Nevada says,
gesturing at her 34A chest. “I was saving money since I
was 16 to get a boob job. Because of porn, I didn’t. When
I started posing naked, everyone said ‘NO! Don’t get a
boob job. You have tiny tits but they’re very cute.’ Now I
love my boobs. I used to wear padded bras. All that
money I saved — I spent it on a trip to New
York.”
She says her best scenes were in Sexy Sleepover with Danny D for
Brazzers and Pretty Little Playthings with Luke Hotrod for Daring
Sex (“I really like the way they shoot, and I really like how I look,
and I like how we both did, the actor and I. It was very passionate
and very cool”) as well as a scene with Amarna Miller in Corporate
Bonding for JoyBear: “Anything I have done with her is amazing,
because we have such a great chemistry.
“I love doing porn, so that’s why I do it. I really like to see what
I have done, so I can say ‘I’m proud of this shoot.’ I started doing
still photo shoots, a little bit of masturbation, teasing, very soft
things. I kept liking it, kept going, then I was modeling for Amarna’s
company. I like to take my time with my appearance, show up on
time and ready, and she appreciated that. Suddenly I was in porn.”
She went to her first AVN Adult Entertainment Expo in January
and liked that there was no nudity: “The people who approach you,
it’s more like they want to get to know you instead of ‘Oh, wow,
she’s naked, I have to take a picture with a naked girl!’ We do sex on
camera, we’re naked on the internet, but we are persons. They’re not
looking at my tiny boobs.”
Her favorite quote is from Carl Jung: “In all chaos there is a
cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.”

brought me to America, because Girlfriends

flew me out to sign at [the AVN Adult
Entertainment Expo]. That’s what
opened my eyes: It’s so much cooler
and so much bigger and better out
here. I started doing boy/girl about
two years ago. [The industry is]
okay back home, but there’s only
so far you can go. There’s so much
more I want to do.”
When she was signing at
AEE, Lowe says, “It was crazy.
I didn’t think anybody here
was going to know who I was.

Porn is actually a really big thing here. We have awards shows and expos back home,
but they’re nothing like the scale of AEE. Obviously I’d watched porn, I’d seen all these
girls, and then I go there and they’re there. I was a little bit of the fangirl on them. I felt
like a fan the first time I was there.”
In Europe, Lowe explains, “We don’t have a huge industry, and there’s a lot of
traveling. One day I could be shooting in London and the next day have a scene in
Budapest. I still live in Wales, so everything is hours away, London is three
hours on the train. Here, everything is right there. All your work is in the
Valley and I can be at a job in 15 minutes. It’s amazing.”
Lowe started stripping in London after getting laid off (“made
redundant”) from a civilian police job in Wales and was scouted by a
photographer: “You should shoot with your boobs out.” She says her
favorite scenes are a recent d.p. with Steve Holmes and Manuel Ferrara
for Manuel DP’s Them All 4 and the AVN Award-nominated Down On Abby.
Her words to live by? “I would rather beg forgiveness than ask
permission. I pretty much live by that.”
