smile realized early on that acting in adult had to be better
than the waitressing she’d done since she was old enough
to work—and besides, community college bored her, so she
did what any savvy teen does these days: She went online to
see what was available.
“I looked through several different agencies. I found one
that I felt I could be comfortable with,” she explained. “I
started out with AMA Modeling, and I went to Florida and
shot some scenes in Florida, and that’s how I got started.
Then I came home and found a new agent, and he was
based out of California—Chris at Foxxx Modeling—and
that’s how I’m here now.”
Indeed, Kallie commutes to L.A. from Fayetteville for
work, and she considers traveling to be one of the perks of
porn.
“Since I’ve been in the industry, I’ve gotten to go to
Miami and now California,” she noted. “I’ve never been this
far west before, ever, and I enjoy it.”
One of the thing directors like about her is her accent,
and it’s that drawl that inspired her to choose her stage
name.

“‘Kallie Jo’ just sounds so Southern, and you can hear it
in my voice,” she said. “Everybody that talks to me goes,
‘Ohmigod, where are you from?’ I just play off the Southern
accent and it’s done pretty well for me.”
In future, she’s looking forward to actually creating
characters on-screen because, “I enjoy doing dialogue; it’s
fun, getting into it and getting into character; I’m really
good at that.”
But one of her real dreams since getting into the industry
is to work for Greg Lansky’s Blacked.com.
“I’ve actually never, even in my personal life, been with a
black man, so I think it would be a pretty good experience
to be able to do that on camera for the first time ever.”
And where does she see herself ten years from now?
“I hope to be doing hair and makeup on sets for girls,”
she said. “I have learned that I am good at makeup and hair,
and I love doing it, and actually, I would like to get into
the kind of makeup they do on mainstream movies, make
people look like witches and gremlins and things; I’d love to
do that.”
Considering how many superhero and other parodies the
industry is turning out these days, she may get her chance a
lot sooner than anyone expects!
