Rae Makes the Cut

11:45 a.m. to kick off the festivities.
“It’s actually a huge honor to be a part
of the official opening ceremony,” Rae
said. “I’m very proud to have had this
opportunity. I felt very powerful holding
those giant scissors.” She also said she was
blown away seeing herself on billboards and
posters on the casino and throughout the
city. “It’s surreal. As soon as I got to Vegas I
saw myself on a taxi. It makes me very proud
to see the position I’m in.”

Sunshine, a native of the
Bay Area who has a degree in
