Experiencing the gonzo genre of adult, is branching out into
couples-themed releases with Lovephoria. Laws of
Zero Tolerance, a company that made its name in
Attraction, the first title under the new banner,
was released in March, and new titles will be
released every other month.

“We’ve always been known as a gonzo studio,” explained Mike Quasar, who wrote and directed Laws of
Attraction and will be attached to many of the titles. “In recent years, and in the last year specifically, we
have seen a lot of free content put out there and there is no context to it. This series will be filled with
vignettes, but vignettes that have a story and a context, but nothing cheesy.
“There will be no pizza delivery guy, no babysitter … though our babysitter titles aren’t going
anywhere!” he added, referring to two ZT mainstay series, Let’s Bang the Babysitter and Babysitters Taking On
Big Dicks.

Quasar, who has been in the industry for more than 20 years and has been with Zero Tolerance since its
start, said that on paper, the change might seem like a drastic one for the company, but in reality makes
good business sense. In order to survive in today’s adult market, it’s necessary to adapt to thrive.
“If you get to be too formulaic, it gets boring too,” he said. “This will be a new series for us, but one
dedicated to quality material for couples to enjoy. We don’t want this to look like it was shot at a Motel 6
with someone’s iPhone. It will feature the same quality as other Zero Tolerance releases.”
Quasar said the series is not re-inventing the wheel at all, but could bring a broader demographic to
Zero Tolerance’s material. It will also allow for Zero Tolerance to reach customers in areas such as boutique
adult stores, which might consider some of their other titles too hardcore.
“We want to stay relevant, and not be known as the company that only does ‘this’ or ‘that,’” Quasar said.
Lovephoria will also allow for some synergy with pleasure products from Evolved Novelties, Quasar
noted. Currently, toys are used in other Zero Tolerance releases, but in the new series, the toys and
movies can be cross-promoted online and in retail outlets. Zero Tolerance has already entered that arena
successfully: Last year’s Shades of Scarlet prominently featured BDSM items from the Adam & Eve’s Scarlet
collection, which is manufactured by Evolved Novelties.

Pure Play Media Adds Lightsouthern to Roster
In a move that will excite those who prefer their adult entertainment leavened
with storylines and sensual imagery, Pure Play Media has added Lightsouthern
to its roster of studios. The Australian studio has been celebrated in
international competitions, but its content has yet to be featured on DVD.
Funded by an Indiegogo campaign, Lightsouthern’s Momentum 1 is the first
installment of a four-part series set in 1970s Australia. The movie recently
played at CineKink, where orgazniers stated that the
movie’s “authentically Australian imagery builds the sexy
tension, then bursts with nostalgia and fun.” Momentum 1
is slated to premiere on DVD via Pure Play Media in early
summer 2015.
“Producing Lightsouthern’s Momentum 1 by Indiegogo campaign was a true
leap of faith that turned into something much larger than ourselves,” said
Michelle Flynn, Lightsouthern’s director, producer, and owner.
Numerous international accolades have been showered on Lightsouthern and
its premiere feature. Lightsouthern won for Best Adult Production Company in
the 2014 Eros Shine Awards, and Flynn was nominated for Best Director in the
2014 Porna Awards. And Momentum was an official selection in the 2014 Berlin
Porn Film Festival.
The directorial debut for Michelle Flynn, Momentum was shot against the
backdrop of Australia’s dramatic landscape and stars Kenji, Devon, Lily Rei, and
Chloe B. The DVD offers two hardcore sex scenes and a threeway masturbation
scene tied together with erotic, tension-building imagery.
