always remain the same. We hire the best people to do their best work and they
hold themselves to the impeccable standards that have long been set by Mr. Skin.
Where do you see the most promising growth areas for adult brands?
The challenge is always: how do you compete with free content? Mr. Skin has
answered that question, time and again, by providing users with a great, one-
of-a-kind experience, delivering quality and material in a manner that can’t be
found anywhere else, and charging a reasonable price. We continue to grow in this
market, year after year. Effectively monetizing web surfers who won’t ever join
your site is also very important. We’re actually really bullish on that front for 2016
and beyond. We’ve all read the obituaries of display ads, but advertising is far from
dead; it’s just constantly evolving. To the ongoing credit of my team, Mr. Skin has
always evolved with it.
Can you hint at any new business developments that might lie ahead for
SK Intertainment?
We have a lot in the works. Top of the list is a complete redesign of the Mr. Skin
site slated to debut before the end of the year. It’s a whole new look with new
features I can’t believe are even possible—but my team just keeps amazing us
all. Prepare to be blown away. We’re also developing a new celebrity paysite for
an old-school adult brand. It was of my earliest skinspirations, so suffice to say,
I’m super stoked for that one. Other than that, our core businesses will remain
adult, but we’re also expanding our “mainstream” reach. For example, through
development and acquisition, we’re growing a network of safe-for-work men’s
entertainment websites. So the Skinpire will be continue to expand into 2016 and
beyond. Come on by any time and give us a one-handed salute!
In addition to McBride’s speech and the aforementioned events, Internext will
feature parties and other festive confabs, including the Traffic Dinner on January
16 and an invitation-only CEO Dinner on January 17. With the show set to take
place in just a few weeks, it’s time now to register for a badge and secure a hotel
room. Go to Internext-Expo.com for more information, or join the Internext
Facebook group. (Pictured above, the Meet Market, registration desk and Speed Networking

Seminars and More Set for 2016 GayVN@Internext
The GayVN@Internext trade show will once
again take place during Internext Expo, slated
for January 16-19, 2016, at Hard Rock Hotel &
Casino Las Vegas.
“Now in its third year, GayVN@Internext is
striving to meet the needs of the online adult
LGBT community,” said Timothy Ferencz,
GayVN@Internext event manager. “Every adult
webmaster should be attending Internext for the
networking and educational aspects. Our objective
with GayVN@Internext is to target the specific
issues and nuances of doing business in the LGBT
space. In addition, we want to foster a sense of
community, help build relationships and have
some fun in the process.”
This year also will feature the GayVN@Internext Lounge. “We want to create
a space where our LGBT attendees can meet, socialize, network and do business,
while still feeling part of the show,” Ferencz said. “We also welcome companies
who are looking to tap into the LGBT marketplace to visit the lounge and meet
the top players in the LGBT adult online community.”
GayVN@Internext adds another layer of value to Internext, which is already
the world’s largest gathering of adult online industry personnel.
This year GayVN@Internext seminars and speed networking events will be
strategically scheduled so attendees will not have to pick and choose, but rather
take full advantage of every event.
“We have three seminars scheduled for GayVN@Internext,” Ferencz said.
“Because Saturday night is Hustlaball, we won’t be
having a GayVN Seminar until Sunday afternoon.
We know everyone will be sleeping in.”
On Monday, there will be two seminars
scheduled. “Our early seminar will be titled
‘Members, Members, Members.’ We will cover all
the ways to engage, keep and add new members.
Email marketing, ad buys, buying traffic, content
updates, contests, social media—we will cover it
all,” Ferencz said.
Monday afternoon will be anchored by the
popular “State of the Gay Industry” discussion.
Last year’s panel ran over an hour and half and
was packed with insights from both the panel of
industry leaders and members of the audience.
For the Sunday seminar, AVN is still considering a number of ideas. “We’d
love to put together a seminar on a topic the LGBT community thinks is relevant
to the current moment,” said Ferencz. “Any webmasters or industry members
who would like to give us their input, we’d appreciate it.”
To share ideas for the Sunday panel or suggest panelists (including
themselves), industry members can contact Timothy Ferenz
(timothy.ferencz@avn.com or 818-718-5788, ext 128) or Tina Fiori
(tina.fiori@avn.com or 818-718-5788, ext 129). Ferenz and Fiori are also
handling sponsorships for GayVN@Internext.
Affiliates can register for free, while all others can purchase a badge. For more
information, go to Internext-Expo.com.

nuances of doing business in the LGBT space.
