Baci Aids Oklahoma
Tornado Victims
Baci Lingerie, in an effort to help victims of the recent
tornadoes in Moore, Okla., has donated more than
1,000 bras though the XO Oklahoma organization,
operated through the Kerr Foundation.
“It’s so important to have an organization such as
The Kerr Foundation, especially in times of crisis and
chaos,” said Baci Lingerie Director of Sales and
Operations Alicia Sinclair. “We are very happy to be
able to help, and encourage other companies to do
what they can to help; we hope this is a step toward
healing and recovery for the women of Moore after
this terrible disaster.”
Moore, which is in
the middle of
Oklahoma’s “Tornado
Alley,” was hit by two
strong twisters in May.
Hugs and Kisses, or
XO, is a new project
from the Kerr
Foundation, formed to
gather and distribute
new and gently used
clothing and accessory
items for women and
men affected by the
Moore tornado
disaster. The
foundation partnered
with the Infant Crisis
Center, Suited for Success and Women of the South to
collect donations.
“Organizations like XO Oklahoma and The Kerr
Foundation are crucial in times of natural disasters
such as the one recently experienced in Moore,” said
Baci Lingerie owner Frank Koretsky. “Grassroots
organizations that can reach and help local residents
quickly and efficiently in times of crisis are so
important—and we’re happy to assist them with our
donations. Baci urges everyone to find ways to help;
together, we can create a positive road to recovery for
everyone affected.”
Donating to XO Oklahoma is the most recent
example of Baci Lingerie’s commitment to
philanthropy, social consciousness, and charitable
outreach. Baci Lingerie recently raised more than
$8,000 for the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund for breast
cancer, and also participated in the 2013 Revlon
Run/Walk to raise awareness and funds for cancer
research and treatment.
